SpaceX tests rocket engines for NASA role

Engines on SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket light up during a launch-pad test Saturday at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.California-based SpaceX says it has conducted a successful engine test for its Falcon 9 launch vehicle, a key milestone on the way to the inaugural launch of a rocket that could one day ferry astronauts to the International Space Station.

Apple began taking online orders for its iPad tablet on Friday. The much-talked about touchscreen device starts at $499. The Wi-Fi only version of the iPad will be available April 3; a version that also includes 3G cellular service with AT&T, is due out in late April.Apple began taking orders online Friday for its new iPad tablet computer, with delivery scheduled for April 3, the same day the iPad goes on sale in stores.
