Some owners of Apple's new iPad are reporting problems not being able to connect the device wirelessly through their home Wi-Fi networks, or say they are receiving Wi-Fi signals that are weak or drop frequently, leaving them unable to connect to the Internet.

The iPad may have exclusively launched in the United States on Saturday, but by Monday hundreds were available in the stores of Hong Kong -- thanks to the city's laissez faire retail laws and the work of traders such as Ronald Leung.

iPhone OS 4.0 is on its way. There have been hints that we'd see the next version of the software that powers the iPhone and iPod Touch soon, and Apple sent invitations to a media-only preview of the software on Thursday, inviting us to "get a sneak peek" at iPhone OS 4.0.

What caused mine explosion in West Virginia?

Why did the explosion at the Upper Big Branch mine in West Virginia happen? Forensic teams will be investigating that issue over the next year or so, looking to see if safety regulations need to be updated. at there's no way to be certain methane caused the explosion â coal dust is everywhere in mines, and can ignite violently. Standard safety practice dictates that mines be "rock dusted" so that at least 65 percent of all dust in the mine is made up of harmless limestone.
