Beginning today, Starbucks customers who use the free Wi-Fi at more than 6,800 U.S. company-operated stores will be greeted with the Starbucks Digital Network (SDN) -- an exclusive content network curated by the company and designed to enhance the customer's in-store experience.

In an unexpected rant against Google's Android, Steve Jobs decried the uselessness of a 7-inch touch tablet, but there apparently was a 7-inch iPad in the works. Did Apple pull the plug on a product that would have been out by the holidays?
