[ Tue, 21 Dec 2010 20:15:51 GMT ]
The latest casualty of WikiLeaks fever is an iTunes app that promised "instant access" to the controversial site, feeding "new content and leaked documents regardless of coordinated attacks and server disruptions to the original Wikileaks website." Less than three days after the "WikiLeaks App" â which has no official affiliation with WikiLeaks but whose developer promised to spend every dollar as a donation to WikiLeaks â appeared in the App Store, Apple removed it.

'Open' Internet just a pipe dream
[ Tue, 21 Dec 2010 18:31:12 GMT ]
As long as you buy Internet access via cable provider, wireless carrier or telecom, you're going to have to play â or at least pay â by their rules. They'll just have to make sure to tell you what those rules are. That seems to be the real gist of the FCC order that was ratified today.
