Google users can now filter spam out of search results

It's annoying to find oneself staring at Google search results and recognizing that some of the websites in the results are spam or completely useless. Thanks to a new Google feature though, you can now prevent those sites from showing up in future search results.

Even if you regularly reassure yourself that you don't give a fig about privacy, there's a difference between open and at risk. I don't want you to lose your job, break up your marriage, get denied healthcare or get kicked out of school because you didn't know the difference.

Consumer behavior shows, repeatedly, that people just don't care about privacy, no matter how much lip service they might give to the topic. The challenge that privacy advocates face is to convince these middle-of-the-roaders that privacy matters.
