As medical devices get smaller and smarter, security on them becomes a concern. On Tuesday, a group of security researchers showed that they could hack into and control a commercially available insulin pump, and suggested ways manufacturers could address these issues.

Now that the Anthony Weiner Twitter meltdown has pretty much played out, I'm surprised that there hasn't been much discussion of the butterfly wing-flap that brought him down: Twitter's rules of engagement when it comes to "following."

The hacking collective knocked out gaming magazine The Escapist as well as the website and log-in server for massively multiplayer game "EVE Online" and the log-in server of popular indie game "Minecraft." And many gamers are left wondering why LulzSec would target these small, underdog organizations.
