[ Wed, 23 Jan 2013 15:25:14 GMT ]
"I get tired or I get sick of it," Psy said of "Gangnam Style" during a news conference in Singapore in December. However the South Korean sensation feels about his infectious song and dance, there's certainly one thing that he can't complain about: Cold, hard cash.

Your iPhone warranty won't cover the damage this soup bowl stand may cause
[ Wed, 23 Jan 2013 16:41:38 GMT ]
Look, we've all thoughtlessly put our iPhones into dangerous situations â on the edge of a sink, right next to a kleptomaniac monkey, on the roof of a moving car, and so on â Â and had the little gadgets live to tell their tales. But these strokes of luck are no reason to suddenly start using a modified soup bowl as an iPhone stand.

Five fake political types on Twitter we wish were real
[ Wed, 23 Jan 2013 05:30:22 GMT ]
As we saw during the presidential campaign when Mitt Romney's official Twitter account gained more than 100,000 followers in the span of a few days, the accusation of fake followers can cast a shadow on a politician's social media street cred, if not his career. But a satirical Twitter account portraying a fake version of a real politician, however vexing to the impersonated person, can be a whole lot of fun to everyone else.

Almost all in Congress use Twitter; if only bills could be as short as tweets
[ Wed, 23 Jan 2013 05:50:33 GMT ]
All 100 members of the U.S. Senate now tweet, and 90 percent of the members of the House of Representatives send out 140-word bits and bites. (Why can't bill-writing be done with such brevity? The Affordable Care Act would have looked a lot different if it had said: "Everybody. Gets. Covered. The End.") Â A look at the top members of Congress â according to Twitter.

ACLU to Justice Dept.: Tell us how cops use GPS to track Americans
[ Fri, 18 Jan 2013 17:12:30 GMT ]
After the Supreme Court ruled that GPS monitoring constituted a "search" under the Fourth Amendment, the Department of Justice drew up two memos outlining guidance for law enforcement. The American Civil Liberties Union filed a request to see the memos, yet received versions that were heavily redacted. So how will Americans be tracked? asks the advocacy group.
