NASA's space change: Renting the Right Stuff

In its new budget, the Obama administration proposes spending billions of dollars to encourage private companies such as Space X, whose Falcon 1 rocket is shown here at liftoff, to build, launch and operate spacecraft for NASA and others. Getting to space is about to be outsourced. NASA's budget calls for spending billions of dollars to support the development of private-sector space taxis.
