Could ET spot our solar system?

This image, produced by computer models that track the movement of icy grains, represents infrared snapshots of Kuiper Belt dust as seen by a distant observer.If ET had telescopes no more advanced than ours, would he know our star has planets? Yes, say NASA researchers, who built a computer simulation of what our solar system's dust ring looks like from an outsider's perspective.
