Lemurs play with strangers to battle xenophobia

Lemurs known as sifakas overcome their aversion toward strangers by playing with them, just as humans sometimes do. To overcome their fear of strangers, wild lemurs break the ice by playing with them. These findings might shed light on the origins of why humans play with strangers as well.
