[ Sun, 5 Jun 2011 18:12:36 GMT ]

The magnet core of the world's largest superconducting solenoid magnet (CMS, Compact Muon Solenoid) is seen at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN)'s Large Hadron Collider (LHC) particule accelerator, in Geneva, Switzerland. Nuclear scientists announced Sunday they have found a way to "trap" for more than 15 minutes elusive antimatter atoms that used to disappear after a fraction of a second.
