Sunflowers rise to battle Japan's nuclear winter

A geiger counter is placed in front of sunflowers in full bloom in Fukushima. At a temple in Fukushima thousands of sunflowers have been planted to help fight the radiation.A Buddhist monk is spearheading a campaign to plant thousands of sunflowers to extract radioactive cesium from the soil around Fukushima — and lift the spirits of local residents.
