Astronauts to Congress: Bring back shuttles

Former astronaut Neil Armstrong, commander of Apollo 11, and the first man to walk on the moon, joined with other Apollo astronauts Thursday in asking Congress to take the shuttle fleet ouf of its recent retirement.The United States desperately needs a way to get its astronauts to space and back — and one solution could be taking NASA's space shuttle fleet out of retirement, famed moonwalkers Neil Armstrong and Gene Cernan told Congress Thursday.
