South Pole feat remembered, 100 years later

Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg unveils an ice sculpture of polar explorer Roald AmundsenĀ at the South Pole on Wednesday, exactly 100 years after Amundsen and his team became the first humans to reach the pole.Polar adventurers, scientists and the prime minister of Norway gathered at the bottom of the world Wednesday to mark the 100th anniversary of explorer Roald Amundsen becoming the first to reach the South Pole.
