[ Sun, 14 Oct 2012 16:09:39 GMT ]

Felix Baumgartner of Austria reacts after his mission was aborted in Roswell, N.M., on Oct. 9. For the second straight day, the extreme athlete aborted his planned death-defying 23-mile free fall because of the weather, postponing his quest to become the world's first supersonic skydiver until at least Thursday. Extreme athlete Felix Baumgartner started preparations early Sunday for his attempt to be the first skydiver in history to break the sound barrier.
