[ Fri, 31 Aug 2012 15:12:30 GMT ]
PARIS -- Centuries-old theological disputes have broken out in cyberspace as religions aim to influence the future presentation of faith on the Internet. The forum for the rivalry is not the pulpit or church bulletin, but the website of ICANN, the corporation that oversees the Internet address system and now wants to expand it beyond the usual .com, .org or .net domains.

How Apple's story is like 'Breaking Bad'
[ Fri, 31 Aug 2012 09:15:49 EDT ]
There's a reason why we tech writers are so endlessly fascinated by the story of Apple. The rise, fall and stunning rise again of the tech company has, over several decades, been like watching a really good, long-running cable TV drama -- in particular, a relentlessly tense and engrossing one called "Breaking Bad."

Google+ now has birthday reminders, too
